Giclee (from the French verb ‘gicler’ to squirt or spray) produces prints which are renowned for their superfine resolution, brilliant colour, and attention to detail.
To ensure exceptional archival value, photographs are printed on Epson Enhanced Matte paper with 76 -100 years longevity (dependent on the environment), using Ultra-Chrome K3 inks on an Epson Stylus Pro 9800 ink-jet printer.
Although framing requirements are individual it is recommended that white mount board and preferably white or silver frames are used together with 2mm non-reflective UV inhibiting glass, to enhance the overall effect, in keeping with the clean, concise, abstract quality of these images.
Prints should never be glued directly onto the backing board. They are either taped to the reverse side of 100% acid free mounting board or suspended on archival clips. These clips are hinged onto the backing board of the frame using a minimal amount of archival glue which allows the artwork to be floated between the glass and the backing board, guaranteeing the protection of the print.
